Not truly a 5 star scope, but rather a 5 star scope for the money. Nice and clear with a wide range of illumination settings. I have mine mounted on a Henry H0001 .22 and for that it\'s probably overkill under most circumstances. I bought it for the illumination and the low light capabilities (armadillo problem), both of which are excellent even for a scope double the price. I\'d like to add that Ryan at Ables provided super customer service by finding me the appropriate mounting rings which is critical on a lever action rifle and a scope this size. NOTE: It is made in China. Not crazy about that...
