I have an original HK import SBE and this model SBEII...You cannot buy a better, more reliable shotgun tha a Benelli. I went through hell in the early days (middle to late 80's) steel shot waterfowling. I bought other top brands and had nothng but failures and a lot of long hikes back to the car to change my lousy, 1 shot, gas auto-loader for a reliable SxS with fixed chokes. I saw that HK was going to import the fix all, simple/proven inertia recoil shotgun from Italy called the Super Black Eagle, which could handle 2-3/4, 3, and 3-1/2 inch rounds in any order. They didn'd lie, it is true.
The rest is history. I have no more function problems, and what small problems I have had are self made. I have shot thousands of rounds through my original SBE and am approaching that with my SBEII. I shoot both guns at everything from skeet, sportingclays, upland and waterfowl. You could buy the best or suffer with the rest. Make an investment for life, or keep spending money on those less reliable, heavy gas autos...
