I agree with M.S. I do own a PPK and was looking for something comparable to Conceal Carry. I want to protect my stainless PPK from any harm. The Bersa Thunder 380 actually fits my hand better and has all the bells and whistles - trigger lock, slide lock, decocker, extended and lowered beaver tail, extended mag release, combat hammer and trigger guard, etc, etc. For the price, it was hard to pass up and I'm glad I didn't. Accuracy is fantastic with the solid mounted barrel and disassembly is an absolute breeze. The Bersa mags and the Pro-mag is a little tricky to load with my fat hands, but a $6 plastic mag loader cures that problem. Sure, I could've bought a smaller, lighter more "popular" CC weapon, but with the Bersa's features at almost half the price, it really is unbeatable. At 25 yards, it is surprisingly accurate and handles well. It has performed flawlessly... every time I squeeze the trigger, it goes bang! No misfeeds, no misfires and a pleasure to use. The biggest problem is keeping enough .380 ammo around for as much as I like to shoot it. I highly recommend this handgun to anyone that wants to carry something that's reliable, reasonably priced, well-built and fun to shoot...

I was interested in the Walther PPK/S .380 in stainless for my personal carry but the prices seemed way out of line. After researching the Bersa Thunder, handling one in matte black, and noting the features (square off and serrated trigger guard, serrated front and back strap, decocker, combat hammer and windage adjustable rear sight) I decided to buy the nickel finished model. First trip to the range with Winchester FMJ, I found the pistol to be surprisingly accurate at my normal target range of 25 yards, with manageable recoil. It was easy to field strip and clean, but noted at first cleaning that the nickel "finish" on the hammer was peeling off like old paint. The hammer appears to be of quality steel so lose of the nickel was no big deal. Have since fed the pistol with whatever .380 ball ammo was available and with several brands of hollow point ammo with no problems. Many reviewers remark on the smooth trigger action of this pistol and I agree. However, there is one potential issue: the linkage mechanism is exposed along the right side of the pistol and the trigger return spring is subject to being dislodged or moved from its position if you remove the grips for cleaning or replacement. I put Crimson Trace grips on my pistol and first trip to the range, the pistol fired once and stopped cycling. I removed the grips, saw the problem, reset the end of the trigger return spring in the appropriate groove, reinstalled the grips and fired another 49 rounds with no problem that day or since...
