Although it is considered target ammo, I use it for carry as well. I do this for three reasons: 1) I can't put any tighter groupings with other ammo than I can this 2) I NEVER have stovepipes this ammo on my 1911; the only other brand that is as reliable for my Colt is Federal, and this is quite a bit less expensive 3) I don't reload, so I don't care that it is not brass.
I am a big fan of CCI ammunition, not only with my 1911 .45, but also with my .44 Special, .22 Ruger, and an H&K .45 ACP.
