You won't find a better derringer than the Bond Arms Texas Defender in 45 Colt/410. Don't worry about this derringer blowing apart in your hand. Be wise however and do not load the 45 Colt +P rounds in the gun. I use standard Winchester silver tips and three pellet 410 shells.
When you clean the derringer, remember there is a chamfer in the barrell and the rifling begins almost at the end of the tube. This area tends to collect powder residue. Take your time and use a QTip to swab this area out...
