I recently purchased the BAR ShortTrac L/H in .243. The firearm functioned without failure for the first 22 rounds at which time I experienced a failure with the bolt locking up completely with the receiver. The firearm was thoroughly cleaned, including the action, ammo was swapped out with other reputable brands and finally new box magazines from Browning were utilized. The firearm still failed to lock up. I brought the firearm to a certified Browning repair shop for troubleshooting. One week later I was contacted by the repair shop and told the firearm was repaired, test fired and ready for pick up. After returning home I checked the firearm, but it was never repaired or test fired. I shipped the one thousand dollar paper weight back to Missouri for recycling.
What a disappointment!!..
