Description
CONNECTICUT VALLEY ARMS Buckhorn Break Action Blackpowder Rifle CVA 50 Caliber Break Action Buckhorn w/24" Blue Barrel The Buckhorn 209 Magnum is an ultra modern conventional inline. The heart of this high tech smokepole is the precision rifled 24" barrel with a 1:28" twist. It's powered by an extremely hot 209 ignition system and will handle 150 grain magnum charges with ease. The Buckhorn rifle also comes standard with a thumb actuated safety, Illuminator Fiber Optic Sights, dual barrel retention points and a Bullet Guiding Muzzle. Another feature that really sets this gun apart from the competition is its radical new stock design. The Buckhorn's unique stock features Grip Dot panels to ensure a comfortable "non slip" grip. Not bad for a rifle that retails for slightly more than a Ben Franklin. ihave owned one of these rifles 3 years now and have had little trouble with it, however they are a bit occward to break down the first time or two and do not loose the allen wrench or capper tool i have found it inpossable to insert a 209 cap with out the capper tool when using the allen wrech to remove the end cap be aware there is a stout spring under the cap and pay attention to how the bolt comes out it can be put in backwards i have done it once, it will not fire when you pull the trigger if bolt is back nor will bolt move it just clicks , however for the price range i found that it makes a fine rifle, it would make a very fine gun for some one just learning to use an in line blackpowder , it would be great for teaching kids gun safty and is pretty accuret it does have optic sites that are nice, another nice thing about this gun is it is pretty durable, i use mine on a quard runner for hunting and it has been boused around quit a bit but it still shoots fine, it also is a confortable fit for the average size person i have shot black powder for 20 years and have found this gun a great vaule for the money.. |
