This Crossman BB Gun is Outstanding!! I shoot a Glock 40 S&W; S&W 44 mag Revolver and Ruger .45 Cal Black Powder... Point is that I shoot allot of hand guns every day. I have a private shooting range on my property and shoot 300-500 rounds per week of all the above calibers... Not counting the rounds I put thru the Crossman C11.
I have sent back other BB guns to various vendors. I'm totally happy with this Crossman C11!
You will see negative comments regarding the loose slide to insert the co2 cartdgride... and the hard safety... and that a BB falls out when you remove the the mag ( I shoot all fo the BBs in the Mag so this is not a problem for me). All of this is negative comment is correct, but has no value in the overall operation of this C11 BB gun.
Again, I am absolutely happy with is BB Gun and shoot it on a daily basis (I'm considering the purchase of a second since I like this one so much). It's cheap to buy, cheap to shoot and the 480 fps is top of the line concerning other BB guns currently on the market. The only thing that compares is the UMAREX Beretta Elite (480 fps as well). I like the Crossman better than the Beretta... I like the style and size better.... Personal choice.
The only reason I'm going to such length in this review is that I have spent significant time and money researching and asessing other BB guns of like attributes. Consequently, I hope to save you some time and expense in your research.
If you would like to buy a "Blow Back" see the UMAREX Walther CP Compact. This looks like a high quality BB gun. Personally, I don't need a "want to be" BB gun blow back since I shoot a Glock 40 S&W daily. If you buy a "blow back" you will have less "fps" since some the co2 is used to do the "blow back." As you will see, the fps on the Walther is less than the C11.
The Crossman C11 does not have a "blow back",,,, thus the 480 pfs .... which takes less co2... this is my preference and I realize that other may have a different opinion.
