This is the first gun I ever owned. I bought it new as kid in 7th grade (1981). I hunted ducks, doves, pheasants, rabbits, and many birds. It has a good kick to it. I would recommend some kind of recoil pad for younger children. I fired hundreds of rounds through it with never a problem. I plan to buy one of these for my children now. I loved this gun. It\'s great to learn on a single shot. It teaches discipline as a hunter. Still at a very reasonable price...
