I own this model and several models as well. It is not a real good long range shot gun for turkey, because of the mod. choke. Even though i killed my first jake with this same gun. It is not also a great slug gun either unlike the nef slug guns, but it is a good deer gun if your state allows buckshot.I have taken deer with slug and buckshot with this gun as well.It is a great bird gun and waterfaul.You can shoot either steel or lead in this gun.You can shoot almost all kinds of ammo through this gun.I have severl other gauges of this type except for the 28ga. all with differnt types of chokes for severl differnt purposes.I like the 3 and1/2 '' 12ga with a screw in choke. Put a scope on it and uses it for what ever. I even found a rifled choke for sabbots. Put in the right choke and you can shoot all types of 12 ga shells in this gun.
