I bought this at a local store. I wanted a shorter unit (this is the mid length) with quick mounts (I wish they made the 223 version with the quick mount). I opened up the package and the batteries were in already and the unit was on already. I assume someone was either playing with it or returned it. The next time I turned it on I noticed the hologram was very fuzzy, much more so than it should be anyway.
I mounted it on my S&W AR15 and headed to the range. The hologram was much clearer when I got to the range, I had to sight it in at 75 yards which only took about 15 rounds. I didn't have a scope with me so I couldn't fine tune it without any magnification (poor eyesight I guess). I shot about 140 rounds and had a ball with this sight. I removed it and put it back on and I was still on target at 75 yards. I used my last ten rounds to fire at the 200 steel targets and connected on a few of them.
When I turned it on and off again, it was blurry. I will be exchanging this for a replacement. I would have given it 5 stars if I didn't have to exchange it. Very cool sight...
