I own 3 - .243 rifles, two semi autos and one bolt action. I have several other long guns in other calibers, while i would limit the size game to deer with this weight bullet, its the best of the best in my book. Federal and Nosler have done this one right. It consistently performs as a target and hunting bullet.
Over the years, I've used almost every grain, bullet weight and design in .243. This caliber and bullet is as good as it gets as it can be used for preditors, hogs, deer and more. This bullet has Great trajectory, energy and is a tack driver. I've hunted and taken deer and hogs (over 200 lbs) with many of the different weight and designs of bullets. At the end of the day, this 70 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip is the ticket. With consistent superior bullet placement, its hard to beat for deer out to 300 yards.
My only complaint is that it is hard to find this Federal Premium bullet in stock... |
