I have been hunting with my Marlin 336 since 1970 and always used 200g Remington which put alot of venison in the freezer. Then came the leverloution this is the best shooting ammo that I ever put in my Marlin. At 100yds I had 5 shots just outside the bull and a nice 3 inch group. The recoil is heavier but who feels when shooting at a deer. Next season I will add the Hornady scope that matches this ammo and it compensates up to 600yds...

I'm just an old-timer who enjoys shooting targets, mostly with hand guns but also a couple of rifles. Earlier this year I bought a new Marlin 336C, .35 caliber without a scope, and I wanted to see how the Hornady compared to Remington Core-Lokt. At 50 yds virtually no difference, I put all shots in the black of a 4" bullseye. But, at 100 yds..I was really impressed with the Hornady. My Core-Lokt shots dropped somewhat and I had to adjust higher. But the Hornady shots were spot-on. Very little drop off and all shots placed in the 4" bulleye (although I changed to orange at that distance). I switch guns around with my in-laws at the range, they agreed totally with my opinion of the Hornady. I'd used 150-170 grain ammo before, seemed I did feel the Hornady recoil more, maybe I'm just a wuss now and I need a pad! But, as for accuracy with a lever action at 100 yds, eyeballs only...excellent ammo...

This is my first hunting season with a .35 Remington (Marlin 336) and have not actually used this ammo on game. But, I have been very pleased with the accuracy of the Lever Evolution ammo at the range. This stuff is very accurate and feeds just fine in my Marlin. If it works as well on game as it does at the range, I'll be a BIG fan...

Three weeks I purchase a Marlin 35 rem. Also in the purchase was a box of the new Hornady Ammunition 200 gain. The following week on a hog hunt, I down a 250 boar @ 100 yards with one shot. The hog did not take a step. It was dead before it hit the ground. This ammo ROCKS!!!! But the best thing is that this ammo does not blow the meat. Good Stuff hunters... :)
