Hello, The quality of the bullet is great however the advertised ballistics are way off from my chronograph. I shot this round in a s&w mod 29 6 inch barrel and got 1206 fps. That is a far cry from the manufactures advertised 1410 fps. I suspect Hornady got their info from a rifle barrel. I have fired over 100 of these rounds and all fired with no issues and pretty clean powder. This is a intermediate 44 mag load in my eyes since I have chronoed other manufactures 240 grain rounds at 1400 fps. I hope this helps..... happy shooting...

Good in a rifle not for hand guns, if you use a hand gun buy hand gun ammo.

Not accurate in my Ruger Blackhawk 5 5/8 inch barrel. I can only manage a 6 inch group at 40 yds with this ammo off a bench. The same gun regularly does sub 3 inch groups with Hornady XTP 300 grain and Buffalo Bore 270 grain FN. Try a box before buying in quantity...
