I OWN A SAVAGE 204 RUGER CAL. I HAVE USED ALL BRANDS AND BULLET WEIGHTS AVAILABE AND THE HORNADY BRAND IS BY FAR THE MOST CONSISTENTLY ACCURATE, ESPECIALLY THE 45 GRAIN. THE 45 GRAIN IS A SOFT POINT AND TO MY KNOWLEDGE THE ONLY SOFT POINT AVAILABLE. THE OTHER GRAIN BULLETS ARE HOLLOW POINT AND FRAGMENT TOO SOON UPON IMPACT. THE 45 GRAIN WILL GIVE BETTER PENETRATION. I HAVE KILLED A WHITETAIL BUCK THE FIRST TIME I HUNTED WITH IT, ALTHOUGH I DON'T NORMALLY USE THE 204 FOR DEER, IT WILL DO THE JOB...
