I have the stainless model in the walnut stock. I broke-in the barrel using a long and tedious procedure to make sure accuracy problems did not surface at some point down the road. It was sighted at 25 yards and returned quite a pleasant surprise with several shots going through the same hole. Time and weather conditions precluded testing at longer ranges. I have heard the Howa Model 1500 is a good shooter. I would heartily concur. I like the rifle and am glad I bought it. It\'s fun to shoot. If you are considering a bolt-action .223, I recommend this one.....
