The rifle belongs tomy brother-in-law and he had bought it new some 20 years ago. The stock is loose so he had me take a look at it. I took it tomy dad's house in south east Missouri over the Thanksgiving holiday and shot the rifle and had my dad take alook at it.The stock seems not to fit quite right at the reciever. You can get your finger nail between the stock and the metal all the way around. But it fits well evey where else. Lokks like at the factory some type of filler may have been put in that gap and over time that filler has fallen out. The owner of the gun keeps it in a gun case (I know that is not the proper storage) and has not shot a box of shells in the gun. If you have any explanations or fix fpr the prob. I would like to hear. I like the way the gun looks feels and shoots. Don't know if I woulld deer hunt with it...
