I purchased this model about 5 years ago from another source and it is a quality machete typical of Meyerco. pros: It has a beutiful finish, the blade is very sharp and stays sharp after several heavy uses. The sheath is also good quality. It's a heavy blade and I found it best for chopping down small trees about 4-5" in diameter. cons: It's a bit too heavy for accurate control when swinging away. Overall: If I had to buy another machete it would be a Meyerco for sure!..
