I purchased this Mossberg 500 combo. The gun was a little lighter wood than I thought it would be but it was very nice. I invested another $110 the first week and got myself a metal safety and a trigger assembly that was metal instead of the OEM plastic. Mossberg builds a quality shotgun but the plastic is a real turn off to anyone who is a hunter and uses the shotgun a lot. Also the foregrip is really sloppy, Mossberg claims to do this on purpose so that mud and other things would not keep it from being able to be pumped. The only other con is that the barrels are both ported. This makes it almost impossible to use in a duck blind or anywhere you are next to another hunter. On the plus side the shotgun is light weight and has an awesome bluing job. And the dual comb is an excellent addition. I would call this a great choice for a first time owner or anyone wanting an inexpensive shotgun. As always the folks at Ables can not be beat in service.
