The Glock 26, often referred to as the "baby Glock," has created a true and practical auto pistol alternative to the standard five shot snub nose revolver. The "safe action" system consists of three (3) automatic independently operating mechanical safeties which are sequentially disengaged when pulling the trigger and which are automatically re-engaged when releasing the trigger. I have owned a G26 for about seven months. I have shot just over 1200 rounds thru it. Not one misfeed - not one hiccup - not one. Everything you might read about the total reliability of a Glock pistol is completely accurate with my experience. Of the 1200 rounds fired, about 400 were hollow point rounds shot during selection of carry ammo. The other 800 rounds were winchester white box from wal-mart. This pistol is very accurate. Slow fire in a weaver stance - at seven yards - can easily yield a pattern of approx 1-1 1/2 inches. That's free hand. The pistol can probably do much better. This pistol can be carried in the pocket with the proper case. But, it is almost too large for this type carry. I have total confidence that when the trigger is pulled, it will go bang. The three internal safties have worked well. I think it is as safe as any revolver. I have not been dissapointed in this purchase and if the G26 is type pistol you're looking for, I don't believe you will be either.
