The Lighfield Commander design incorporates an impact discarding sabot which unlike the traditional two piece discarding style, has no effect on the slugs stability. This new found high degree of stability will be evident to the marksman the first time he uses the Commander impact discarding sabot at the range. The new impact discarding sabot also produces a controlled expansion slug for deeper penetration.
