I have been using these full size lead Sabots for years and yes they are designed to be used in a fully rifled barrel. As say in the last review noticed they do not have any rifling in their surface so if you shoot them out of a smooth bore gun there will be no twist imparted on the slug so they will just tumble down range. shoot them out of a fully rifled barrel and you can get sub 3\" groups at 100 yards... |

Don't let the previous review steer you wrong, these buckhammer slugs are obviously for rifled bore shotguns, as they have a smooth outer face. The slugs with the rifling cast into them are for smooth bore guns. These could be used from a smooth bore gun but would likely be not as accurate as they would not spin at all..I have had no problems from these at all and have never heard of anyone having a problem, a very accurate slug indeed..one of the best, if not the best... |
