these are what i carry in my 870 for grizzly defense for my trips up into the mountains, not sure what they will do on a deer, or a bear but sure took down a 200 lb wild pig at 50 yards, blew a clean hole clean threw it and expanded to about twice its size, pretty accurate, not quite rifle accurate but for a smooth bore gun its deadly,
great for places you cant use a rifle in and i would def use it for whitetail in heavy brush areas..
