Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics Rimfire Ammunition 22FLRN, 22 Long Rifle, Lead Round Nose (RN), 40 GR, 1070 fps, 50 Rd/bx by JAKE Date Added: Tuesday 09 September, 2014
10 These are Great varmint/pest killing rounds, and nice hunting rounds if your looking for a clean holes and very little meat damage or hide damage. I haven't ever had a single misfire or any jams or any hiccups with all of Fiocchis .22LR ammo. They function great in all my different semi's and in my single shots and in my bolt action .22s, and same with my revolver and semi handgun. Fiocchi is now becoming my go to .22 rounds for small to mid size game hunting and for self protection, and Their new line of different 22LR rounds are great, Ive tried all of the different fioccho 22LR rounds and out of all of them the copper plated (SP) rounds are definitely the most destructive and hard hitting and worth the price tag. I Recently took out a 72pound Yote thats been causing problems in my area for awhile, I was about 70 plus yards away and no scope just iron sights and I fired one shot off and hit the note in its to upper neck and dropped him dead in his tracks. I saw what the round did and couldn't believe it, especially with a small little 40grain round. The subsonic .22LR (HP) are great rounds as well I keep my airtight revolver loaded up with 6 rounds of HPs and 2 rounds of SPs just in case. Thanks Ables, you guys rock. And I would have used my .22mag or one of my larger cal rifles or one of my scatter guns with a slug. But I had a split second before the coyote would have taken back off into the woods in the dead of night. All the Fiocchi rounds rock and i use to be a big CCI and Remington fan but thats changed thanks to Ables.-Jake..

Federal American Eagle Pistol Ammunition AE40R3, 40 S&W, Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), 165 GR, 1130 fps, 50 Rd/bx by Danny Date Added: Thursday 04 September, 2014
10 I just returned from the range, where I shot 100 rounds of Federal's, American Eagle, 165 gr. .40 S&W ammo, in my S&W Shield. I'm proud to report, ZERO failures to feed, fire or eject, this ammo is also plenty accurate as well, with 25 yard group averages, measuring in the 2 inch or less range, not bad for the 3 inch barreled Shield. Another positive thing is the FABULOUS service, I ALWAYS receive, from Able's Ammo, They ALWAYS do an EXCELLENT job of supplying my ammo needs, in a very punctual matter...

10 This stuff is amazing and is great for small game hunting and a good self defense round. I shoot 50rounds threw my old tube feed long gun with iron sights and was shooting at about 100yards at my target and backstop. I would hate to be on the other side of these or Fiochi's subsonic 22 HPs, the copper Plated SP's cause some serious fragmentation on impact which i expected but these are great, thanks Ables please keep up the good work with trying to keep great .22 rounds in stock. I Will be ordering more .22lr rounds soon, and probably some more specialty shotgun defensive rounds. You guys are the place i'll go to for all my specialty ammo needs for all my different firearms. Thanks again Ables you guys Rock :)..

10 Bought this in Nov 2013 and it's been a FANTASTIC gun! Never any failure of any kind with HP's or FMJ's of any brand. At least 600 rounds through it now. I carry this with confidence. 12+1 capacity won me over to buy this over the M&P Shield. I did like the feel of the grip better as well. Not to mention this G2 was $299 and the Shield (at the time) was $429. I want one now in 40S&W with the stainless slide...

10 Middle of the road on these shells. They're no good for use in cylinders because they expand too much to allow for easy extraction. Therefore, do NOT use them in any of the "Judges" or "Governors" out there. However, in any long barrel chambering, expansion has not been an issue and they work just fine. Truly hard to beat the price but it's a bit inconvenient to need brand options when carrying 2 styles of the same firearm...

Springfield XDS Compact Pistol XDS93345B, 45 ACP, 3.3 in, Black Polymer Grip, Black Finish, 5 Rd by JASON Date Added: Thursday 24 July, 2014
10 I bought this gun a few months back and I have to say that I just love it! First let me state my only "complaint". With the standard length magazine you can only hold 6 rounds (5+1). Being that this is a sub-compact I don't think I am even allowed to complain. That being said I was impressed right from the moment I bought the gun. The salesman brought out the case and accessories that are included. You get a very nice hard plastic case, 2 standard magazines, one extended magazine, a holster, a magazine holster and a barrel lock. It really is every accessory you will ever need for this gun. I have put close to 1000 rounds of ammo through it and never had a single problem, it cycles smooth and clean every time. The recoil is very manageable for being a larger caliber on a smaller frame, it bucks a little, but my 105 pound little sister handles it just fine. It is very easy to field strip, it comes apart in four pieces and can be cleaned and oiled in just a few minuets. I bought this as my concealed carry gun and I have it on me almost everyday, it is very small and light making it a joy to carry. If you are looking for a concealed carry weapon in a larger caliber I would highly recommend the XDS. I have few handguns and I can easily say that this is the one I was most impressed with...

Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Pistol 180021, 9mm, 3.1 in, Polymer Frame, Black Melonite Finish, 7/8 Rd by Joe Date Added: Friday 27 June, 2014
10 Fabulous concealed carry pistol. This 9mm Shield quite literally does it all. It easily shoots plus P ammo. I did some rapid fire tests at 30 feet and some slow fire tests at 50 feet. There is no recoil to speak of. The gun is a great design. You can triple-tap this pistol as fast as you can a full-sized auto. It doesn't matter if you're using 124 plus P Gold Dots or Buffalo Bore 147 grain plus P. However, if you're an old bulls eye shooter you can't use a six-o-clock hold on the target or you will shoot low. You need to use a twelve-o-clock hold. The groups are not as small as they would be with a full-sized auto, but they stay within the 4 inch range at 50 feet which is good enough for me. The DeSantis pocket holster works well, and I also recommend pocketholsters.com for their model. It has a neat square flap on the outside of the gun that really hides the shape. The safety is very easy to click on and off, and I glad it has it because of the added safety in my pocket. Smith and Wesson has a winner here. Highly recommended...

10 Great annealed brass if you plan on reloading. Functioned flawless in the mini 30 tactical. Accuracy off a bench with sand bags with a scope was about 1 1/2" to 1 3/4"@ 50 yds. with 5 shot groups, with flyers opening them another 1/4" to 3/8" (not some of my best). For the money of regular price I expected a little better. The price at Ables' was the best I found and decided to try a few boxes but I would never pay the full amount for this ammo. Ables' shipping was fast and reasonable, I have bought from them in the past and will buy from them in the future...

10 Runs great in mini 30 tactical which sometimes will not bust a cap with the berdan primers and in a shtf situation I wanted something I could depend on. Reloads good but primer pockets seem a little tight, I chamfered them a little with the pointed end of a deburring tool and they worked fine. Groups were about the same as some of the steel cased stuff but burns a lot cleaner. Ables' price was better than any I can find and shipping was fast and reasonable. I would not want to shoot them all the time because of the price but plan to put some back just in case because I believe they are more reliable in the mini 30 and the CZ527 than the cheaper steel stuff...

Speer 44 Caliber 240 Grain Gold Dot Soft Point 50/Box (4456), Not Loaded by JIM Date Added: Tuesday 10 June, 2014
10 This is undoubtedly the toughest 44 bullet I've ever shot. Even bullets dug out of my sand, clay, and gravel backstop have stayed together although sometimes badly deformed. I have no doubt that it will perform well in any big game.... if Speer can ever manage to come up with an accurate design. These are also the least accurate bullet that has ever been fired out of my gun. It's a 2X scoped 4" model 629 capable of 1 MOA in even my mediocre hands with the proper bullet. In this case, it's the Hornady 240 grain XTP over a max charge of 2400 powder and CCI 300 primers, but H110 and Fed 155 primers work almost as well. That bullet however, has failed to hold together in over a dozen deer where they have been recovered. Unfortunately, I've also failed to recover three deer hit solidly in the front shoulder with the Hornadys and that's why I'm looking for a better design. Sieras are also fairly accurate, 1.5" - 1.75" at 50 yards, and the old Winchester 210 grain silvertips shoot consistantly into under 2 inches at 50 yards. I've tried a wide range of charges of H110, Blue Dot, and 2400 powders combined with CCI300, Fed 155, and Fed 150 primers in Remington cases and have failed to come up with anything resembling an accurate load with the Speer 4456. The best I can muster for a 50 yard, 5 shot group is three or four shots into just under two inches with a flier or two printing three to four inches away from the center of the group and sometimes in opposite directions. In this first box of 100, I've not shot five shots into a decent group. I would estimate that you can expect 30-40% fliers out of a box of these bullets - from a gun proven to be inherently accurate. I suspect that some may be distorting slightly in flight from centrifugal force or from normal internal chamber pressures due to the way they're constructed. I say normal pressure because I have had them loaded from light to heavy charges of each powder. Unfortunately, I can't in good conscience go afield with a bullet this inaccurate - regardless of how well they're constructed or perform otherwise...

I shot low at 10 yards even though it has a laser guide built in. (I've only been shooting casually for a couple of years so I guess I'm still a newb). The next time I went I used American Eagle and wouldn't you know it, I shot low again at 10 yards. I thought maybe the gun was sighted incorrectly. I then remembered I had a box of HPR's, so I filled a magazine and wouldn't you know it, 2 bulls eyes and the other five were to the right with a grouping of about 3 inches. Maybe I was shooting worse than normal because the gun does have a kick and only a 3" barrel and now I'm getting used to it; so, I decided to repeat the test. Same results. The HPR Brand consistently had better groupings and they actually felt better than the others I've tried. There's definitely something to this brand. (Next week I'll test with LawMan ammo and I'll see what happens but I suspect that this brand will yield better results.) I just wish these were $20/box...

10 Have not had a single issue when shooting in my Ruger SR40c. No jams or issues with ejections. Only complaint is these rounds make a huge flash out the barrel but they still shoot straight...
