Federal American Eagle Rifle Ammunition A76251M1A, 7.62 MM NATO, OTM, 168 GR, 2650 fps, 20 Rd/bx by W. J. Date Added: Tuesday 23 August, 2011
10 I normally shoot high end match ammo but I decided to give this inexpensive ammo a try. While it is not as good as Federal Match, primarily because it has much larger variations in muzzle velocity, it shoots very well out of my target lr 308 (at 100 yards anyway). At 100 yards I got groups that were only a few tenths bigger than the Federal 168 grain match ammo, at a much lower price. This ammo did beat several other much more expensive types that cost as much as double what the American Eagle cost. I have a sneaking suspicion that this ammo is nearly the same formula as the Federal match ammo...

Browning Citori Grade IV Lightning Shotgun 013229813, 28 Gauge, 28", 2-3/4" Chmbr, Walnut Stock, Blue Finish by J. R. Date Added: Monday 22 August, 2011
10 This is by far the finest shotgun I have ever owned. This has the feel and the ability to effortlessly point right on target each and every time. Whether it is on a 'flushing covey' early morning in the 'Piney Woods' or on the skeet range this little shotgun is at home in both worlds. Fit and finish is second only to the fine and much more expensive European models. I have found that 28 gauge is the perfect match for wingshooting. I wait with much anticipation for the Fall season here in the Southeast. These guns are rarely parted with...however on occasion one will show up at auction from time to time. A 'gently used' example will still command near retail prices...

Hornady LeveRevolution Rifle Ammunition 82730, 30-30 Winchester, Flex Tip, 160 GR, 2046 fps, 20 Rd/bx by j. e. Date Added: Monday 22 August, 2011
10 Purchased 1 Box of 20 to try in my Marlin 336C in 30-30, I fired 6 rounds from a bench @ 25 Yards to shoot dead on, all 6 rounds were within 1 inch of each other, proceeded to sight 3" high @ 100 yards readjusted scope after 3 shots the next 6 rounds were perfect all in a 1" circle. all in all 15 shots from a bench 25 Yards and 100 Yards all within a 2 inch circle not bad for a guy who rearly shoots anything but a 22 or a shotgun. I never had luck with other 30-30 ammo from this gun! Its the Lever Evolution that made my results great!..

Federal Premium Power Shok Rimfire Ammunition 510, 22 Long Rifle, Lead, 40 GR, 1240 fps, 50 Rd/bx by C. H. Date Added: Sunday 21 August, 2011
10 I originally discovered this cartridge at the local Wal-Mart 2 years ago. However, their inventory is limited and I haven't seen it there since. So I took a chance and ordered a case from Able's. I have shot about half the case and can only remember maybe 3 FTF's. My 10/22 with an Adams & Bennett barrel can shoot 1" groups from 100 yards with this cartridge. I also have a Ruger Mark III hunter which likes this cartridge, it shoots stamp sized groups from the bench. This cartridge is quite consistent for bulk type ammo. The bullets feel like there is a thin film of wax coating on them. Maybe that's why the 10/22 and Mark III eats them without fuss. I highly recommend this cartridge to anyone looking for quality bulk ammo...

10 I have used these shells shooting a 870 super mag 12 gauge using a Trulock Precision Hunter PHREM12710 modified choke that folded geese maybe 80-90 yards up. Its not sky busting when you drop them straight down dead. Best shells on the market. I have used besides TSS. While patterning with a home made galvonize frame at 40 yards the buckshot used was Remington 00 Buck which would bounce off the frame. The wingmaster hd shot would go thru the 1 1/2'' galvonize schedule 80 frame; unreal down range energy. These shells are a little high but shooting these compared to steel there is no comparison...

Gunvault Nano Black Combination Vault, 9.5" x 6.5" x 1.75" (NV300) by B. B. Date Added: Tuesday 16 August, 2011
10 I have this exact gun vault, and it works perfectly as a secure safe to stash under my seat in my car (I wrap one end of the wire through the locking mechanism inside the safe, then intertwine the two ends and loop around the steel frame of my seat that bolts down to the frame of the car). This makes for an accessible, camoflauged (black interior), and safe way to store my pistol, particularly when I must stash it in the car due to "no firearms" places--despite having CCH permit. I use this to secure my Taurus 738 TCP .380, as well as an extra full 6 round magazine. This leaves more room for another mag plus papers if I wanted to add those items. I will buy another in the next few weeks to store a full-length 32 oz 1911 .45. I want 2 of these so that I can have 1 in the house to store the gun left home, and 1 in the car to secure my concealed carry firearm, should I need to leave it in the car. I don't trust glove boxes and trunks! Great value for the money...

Remington Rifle Ammuntion R308W1, 308 Winchester, Core-Lokt Pointed Soft Point (SP), 150 GR, 2820 fps, 20 Rd/bx by R. P. Date Added: Tuesday 16 August, 2011
10 I shot these rounds out of my Remington 700 SPS while hunting last year. The whitetail deer in Southeast Georgia aren't very big so I don't really need a really heavy round or load. These bullets work great for what I am doing. I killed 2 nice bucks, 6 does and 1 200 lb hog at anywhere from 50 to 300 yards. I dropped 2 deer and the hog in their tracks and the other 6 deer ran no more than 30 yards. I really like this round because it works well and I don't have to look far for my game. It is powerful enough to "smoke" whatever I shoot without ruining any meat. All together, I have used about 10 boxes of this ammo in my 700 and can say that the rounds are accurate and dependable. I plan on purchasing more for this year...

Benelli Super Nova Tactical Pump Shotgun 20160, 12 Gauge, 18", 3.5" Chmbr, Synthetic Stock, Matte Finish by M. J. Date Added: Monday 15 August, 2011
10 I have owned both the SNT w/standard rifle sights and the SNT w/ghost ring sights, and the ghost rings are the way to go. The rifle sights are fine - but with the ghost rings I am able to get a better sight picture, faster. It wound up taking a little over 5 weeks to get the gun. I would suggest calling Able's directly to confirm the gun is in stock prior to placing your order (if you don't want to wait). That having been said, Able's price was right, and I couldn't be happier with the SNT after it arrived. I recommend getting a factory mag extension immediately. I have had 0 - absoutely no issues with either of my SNTs...

Tetra 28 in L x 7.5 in W Professional Gun Care Vise, 1600GV by A. G. Date Added: Wednesday 10 August, 2011
10 Many design flaws with the tetra. First, the forend grip is narrow. It does not accommodate larger forend stocks. This causes the axis of the barrel to cant upwards, allowing cleaning solvent to migrate down into the action. Wide forends rest on the top of the opening, further canting the barrel upwards and creating a non-secure grip. Second, the forend support is to close to the receiver. It would better support the rifle if it were moved 3-4" away. Third, the mechanism that secures the butt end of the stock, as well as the wells that hold the jars of cleaning fluid, is on the wrong side for right handed rifles. If one tries to clean a right handed action when secured in the vise, one would have to work over top of the stock to get to the cleaning fluid (check out the picture on the box). Lastly, the stock support, under the stock, is to high to allow for any downward cant of the barrel. I plan on taking the saws-all to it and making a few modifications before I put it to use...

Henry Lever Action Rifle H001, 22 LR, 18 1/4", Walnut Stock, Blue Finish, 15 Rds by D. S. Date Added: Wednesday 10 August, 2011
10 You rarely see anything but a 5 star review on a Henry and there\'s a good reason for that. It\'s accurate, the action is incredibly smooth and the workmanship is outstanding. All this plus it\'s very reasonably priced and all components plus assembly are American. Shoots shorts, longs, and LR from sub sonic to stingers and never fails to function flawlessly. While I haven\'t had occasion to use customer service everyone I talk to says Henry\'s is second to none. My only criticism is that they could have put better sights on it, but since I use a scope this doesn\'t really matter to me. This is my first lever action rifle and I love it. You will too...

Sig P229 Pistol E299SAS2B, 9mm, 3.9 in, Polymer Grip, Black Finish, Night Sights, 13 Rd by D. S. Date Added: Wednesday 10 August, 2011
10 The most important feature of any defensive weapon is reliability and he Sig P229 is definitely that. I\'ve fired thousands of rounds through mine and from the cheapest off brand junk to RBCDs, it has never failed to function flawlessly. It\'s consistent and well balanced. The trigger pull is smooth in DA and just right in SA. Night sights are excellent. Decocking lever is well placed and doesn\'t interfere with holstering. I like the 9mm version because with the proper ammunition it has stopping power yet doesn\'t recoil so much that your aim leaves the target allowing subsequent shots to leave the barrel quickly and accurately. It does have some disadvantages as a concealed carry gun though in that it is a bit heavy especially when fully loaded. Consider buying Hogue grips for it to improve accuracy and comfort...

B-Square Sports Utility Series Rings 27056, 1", High, 1", Black by D. S. Date Added: Tuesday 09 August, 2011
10 Don\'t let the low price make you think these are junk. They do what they\'re supposed to do, hold the scope in position and not let it move. These are the perfect height for a lever action rifle. They hold a Barska Huntmaster on my Henry which is a large diameter. With these the scope just clears the rear sight and allows sufficient room to access the hammer. What else is there? (Made in China though. Like anything isn\'t?)..

10 I can only think of one reason to buy this ammunition and that\'s low noise. Assuming that is the reason anyone is even looking at this review let me assure you it is low noise. 10 Not truly a 5 star scope, but rather a 5 star scope for the money. Nice and clear with a wide range of illumination settings. I have mine mounted on a Henry H0001 .22 and for that it\'s probably overkill under most circumstances. I bought it for the illumination and the low light capabilities (armadillo problem), both of which are excellent even for a scope double the price. I\'d like to add that Ryan at Ables provided super customer service by finding me the appropriate mounting rings which is critical on a lever action rifle and a scope this size. NOTE: It is made in China. Not crazy about that...

10 I have been using these full size lead Sabots for years and yes they are designed to be used in a fully rifled barrel. As say in the last review noticed they do not have any rifling in their surface so if you shoot them out of a smooth bore gun there will be no twist imparted on the slug so they will just tumble down range. shoot them out of a fully rifled barrel and you can get sub 3\" groups at 100 yards...

Browning Buck Mark Pistol - 051379490 Camper Matte Blued 22LR by J. D. Date Added: Saturday 06 August, 2011

It is much easier to clean. The only issue is the set screw that holds the barrel in the receiver is a bit awkward to tighten. I only shoot higher velocity Federal, CCI and Remington Vipers in it and have yet to have a jam. I am no expert, but I am beginning to believe that higher velocity ammo shoots better than sub or standard velocity in semi-auto handguns. I am sure there are a hundred opinions on this and I can only speak of my experience. It is very accurate and I am just an okay shot. It fits your hand and just feels good to grip. 10 excellent ammo for 44 mag. nickled case XTR bullet. the 200 gr. and the volicity are a great balance as i am going to shoot through winchester\'s model 1892 lever rifle with 20\" barrel and they shot very accurately with minimal recoil. can\'t wait to shoot through a pistol, i expect they will do very well. Fiocchi makes excellent ammo and Able\'s gave me very good price...

Kel-Tec SUB-2000 Semi-Auto Rifle SUB-2K9GLK17, 9mm, 16.1", Synthetic Stock, Blue Finish, w/Glock 17 Mag, 10 Rds by T. B. Date Added: Thursday 28 July, 2011
10 This is one of the best firearms I have ever fired, let alone purchased. I actually bought this rifle for my wife, as 9mm are fairly cheap to shoot, but after firing a few hundred round through it I\'m leaning towards adopting it my self. After researching this pistol the cool thing is that hit much harder then a pistol, a few resources actually compared it to the impact of a .38. Great rifle, compact, a great all around utility weapon...

Ruger Redhawk KRH444 Revolver 5026, 44 Remington Mag, 4 in, Black Hogue Monogrip Grips, Stainless Steel Finish, 6 Rd by R. D. Date Added: Thursday 28 July, 2011
10 This is a very durable, stoutly manufactured revolver. Any one feature difference would not make a big deal, but taken together, the Ruger is a superior revolver. It is what i carry in the woods when i am there to be handgun hunting, but may not be alone. WE in California have boat loads of Mountain Lions, Black Bears, and rattlesnakes. You may never see any of the animals listed, but the way the populations are expanding, you might. A gun in your safe will do you no good if you are being stalked by a hunger lion. And, there are .44 snake loads. I know guys fish in Alaska and carry 2 1/2 inch revolvers, but the 4 inch barrel length will give you a better balanced and longer sight plane and is faster on the second shot. Just my 2 cent worth. Been a shooter for 47 years of all species of guns...

Winchester 94 Short Rifle 534174114, 30-30 Winchester, 20 in, American Walnut Stock, Blue Finish by G. H. Date Added: Wednesday 27 July, 2011
10 I have owned a Model 94 AE 30-30 for approximately 28 years. I bought it new. It is the most accurate rifle in my collection. I have on more than one occasion put a round dead center in the target at 75 yds. and then put the second shot through the same hole. This was done with store bought cartridges. I will pass it on to one of my sons and stipulate that it is never to be sold but passed down through the generations...

Smith & Wesson Sigma 9VE Pistol 120025, 9mm, 4", Polymer Grip, Stainless Slide/Black Frame, 10 Rd by R. S. Date Added: Saturday 23 July, 2011
10 I have just fired 50 rds from this pistol so it may be tight from the box. The Gun is accurate enough at 25 yds., but the trigger pull was so difficult and deceptive that I couldn\'t get any decent group. I haven\'t shot since my Vietnam Service but that was with a 1911 .45, with which I qualified as Sharpshooter, missing Expert by one shot. WE have to shoot slow at the public range, so I pulled and pulled the trigger, unsure if the shot would ever break. Obviously, during that time, the gun wobbled. I did manage to get all six rds. in the chest so an assailant would have been hurt if not killed. The overtight trigger does not allow for good control, and our Range only lets you shoot six rds. slowfire. I do think faster fire, despite the inevitable jerking, would allow one to be a bit more accurate...

Fiocchi Premium Target 12IN248, 12 Gauge, 2-3/4", 24 grams, 1350 fps, #8 Lead Shot, 250 Rd/case by R. D. Date Added: Saturday 23 July, 2011
10 The powder is clean burning, the primers always go bang and the wads and shot are premium stuff. I pattern all of my shotguns with 48 inch square paper and i can tell you with Briley chokes in my Berettas, these loads are even and tight. Recoil is nearly zip compared to the Target Win Value Pack shotgun shells a lot of guys use. I can shoot all day and have no problems. The Fiocchi cases are fantastic to reload too. Brass heads and good plastic. The newest Fiocchis have 6 fold crimps and the older Fiocchis had 8 fold crimps. Doesn\'t seem to make any difference to me...
