Fiocchi Rifle Ammunition 223HVB50, 223 Remington, Hornady V-Max Polymer Tip, 40 GR, 3650 fps, 50 Rd/bx by Fernando Date Added: Tuesday 06 March, 2012
10 Have used both the 40 & 50 grain VMAX in my Rem VTR and my custom built M4 and have got one hole 3 shot groups with both guns at 100 yards. The Dog Towns in Montana are in trouble this year. I would recommend this ammo to anyone wanting a great shooting ammo for the best price around. I have tried more expensive ammo and none have shot this good...

Speer Lawman Handgun Ammunition 53750, 38 Special +P, Total Metal Jacket (TMJ), 158 GR, 900 fps, 50 Rd/bx by Ruben Date Added: Wednesday 29 February, 2012
10 So I bought this ammo for my S&W 686+ to shoot at an indoor range a few miles from my house. The first time I shot it my gun jammed after about 35 rounds. I checked and there was metal buildup around the firing pin, in the barrel, and on the magazine star (which rotates the cylinder). I thought it could have been a bad box and tried a new batch another day. 7 shots fired and there was metal in the same spots. Supposedly it's due to the fact that it's 38+P but I don't think any ammo (especially "training" ammo) should leave this buildup and lock your gun up...

NcStar Red Dot Sight DMRG130, 1x, 30mm, Black, 3 Red/Green M.O.A. Dot by D. Date Added: Friday 24 February, 2012
10 Bought it for my Hi-Point 995. Liked the mount for co-witness on the iron sights. The mount is the reason I gave two stars. The sight itself has quite a bit of flare causing it to display a "star" pattern. I returned the first one I received thinking I just got a bad one. Matt Parks of NC Star claimed that they have had no problems with this unit. When I received the replacement it was worse than the original. Quite a bit of flare also visable on perimeter. Sent an E-mail to NC Star about it and Matt replied. He stated that he saw nothing wrong with my original scope and didn't know what else he could do for me. And would not reply to any future e-mails. I dealt with NC Star in good faith. I didn't get the same in return. I have purchased BSA and Tru-Glo red dots in the same price point without a problem. NC Star claims to have the "best warranty in the business". That appears to be B.S...

10 I'm a fan of the M&P models and I liked the idea of a range mate to my other pistols. The only difference is the thumb safety. I have been very pleased with this pistol and being able to shoot all day for cheap. Very little trouble with bulk ammo and zero problems with CCI Mini-Mag. Great pistol for anyone to own, not just M&P owners. Extra mags can be purchased from Smith & Wesson shipped as 10 rd. Remove a spacer and it's a 12 rd...

10 I tried these rounds in my .44 Special revolver. The bullets started to creep loose from the case after just two shots. The bullet creep was so extensive that it actually blocked the cylnder rotation. The bullet crimp pressure on the manufacturing line must be inadequate. Once the bullets started creeping out of the case they were unusable. I don't recommend these...

Napier Of London .177 Caliber Pellets/500 Count (6053) by Bob Date Added: Sunday 19 February, 2012
10 I recently returned to air rifle shooting at 60. I have several types of air rifles and am having a great time of relaxation with them. Most of my shooting is being done with a Gamo Bigcat. When I obtained this rifle I spent time to find the best grouping pellet for it. This air rifle loves the Napier .177 Hunter pellets, clover leafs them all the time. Great 30 yard accuracy. Our local sporting goods store had a small stock of them and I purchased all of them. No I didn't leave any for someone else to try. Now I have found another source :) If you haven't tried these quality pellets, give them a chance...

Sig P290 Semi-Auto Pistol 2909TSSL, 9mm, 2.9 in, Customizable Grip, 2 tone Finish, 6 Rd by greg Date Added: Friday 10 February, 2012
10 I recently purchased this gun from a local dealer. I own a Glock 19 and a Beretta 96 , but wanted a smaller concealable gun. The choices came down to this gun or the .380 Beretta Cheetah. I liked this gun with the laser and extended 8 shot grip, so I bought it. I made a major mistake not dismantling the gun in the store in order to see what quirks were involved in taking it down before I brought it home. Today after two hours on my own, and half an hour with the service rep at Sig, I just gave up dismantling it and reboxed it to take back to the local dealer I bought it from. The issue I have is that on the reverse side of the gun from the photo, there is a small button that sticks out about 1/16 that must be pushed in when the slide stop and the hole in the slide are aligned. This, like all my autos, means you have to hold pressure on the slide spings, in order to get the pin out on the Beretta or the slide to free up on the Glock. No matter how I tried, fingers in the trigger guard, using my thigh, trying to find a place on my workbench, and finally following instructions from the factory rep, I was unable to find enough hands to get the slide stop out. The pin goes in the miniscule amount, your finger hits the frame and the slide wont shake out, fall out when held upside down or even be out far enough to use your teeth to get a grip on the lever. I refuse to have my wife come out and push it out with a pencil while I hold it..especially in a carry gun. I asked the factory rep if this is the standard set up on all Sigarms to dismantle the gun and he told me this one was unique. I will take this gun back to the dealer and if they cannot show me a way to take this gun apart easily, it goes back to them and I will stick with the tried and true Beretta design. I wish I could add information on how this gun shot, but until I can figure out how to clean it, no shells will go through this pistol. My message...........if you intend to buy this gun, try to dismantle it in a store first to see if you can do it on your own. I am 70, 168 pounds and have reasonable hand strength..at least enough to take a Glock and Beretta down, but this gun has me beat!..

Mec Gar Taurus 92/99 9MM 18 Round Anti-Friction Coating Magazine (MGPT9218AFC) by William Date Added: Monday 30 January, 2012
10 I bought this magazine to replace a Taurus factory 17 round mag. for my Taurus PT-917 CS (same lower frame as the PT-92/99 and PT-100/101). The follower in my Taurus mag dislodged which rendered it inoperable. Well if any of you ever had to deal with the Taurus factory while waiting for your lifetime warrenty to be honored, you can understand my need for another source of equipment. This mag is one of the best I ever had in my hand, the quality is wonderful. It makes the Taurus mag look inferior. It installs smoothly and can be loaded fully right from the start. It fits and works perfectly. The antifriction coating allows easy disengagement. Keep in mind this mag is less expensive than the Taurus factory mag. You can't go wrong with this mag. I HIGHLY recommend it...

Fiocchi Hunting Heavy Steel Load 1235SHBB, 12 Gauge, 3-1/2", 1-9/16 oz, 1470 fps, #BB Steel Shot, 25 Rd/bx by Stephen Date Added: Sunday 29 January, 2012
10 Wow!!! I patterned this load in my Beretta Xtrema2 with kick-off(recoil elliminator) at 30 yards using the improved cylinder choke tube. (I also am now using the Burris Speed Bead optical site.) The pattern board was 3' by 3' and the painted bull was set at my eye level. The book says that there are 112 BB pellets in 1 9/16 oz. I counted (marking each hole with a marking pen) 103 strikes in an area 28" tall by 30" wide centered on the 5"-6" spray-painted bull. I've since killed a lot of ducks and geese most often stoned-dead. I've found that the lead at forty yards is on the beak of a typically passing shot and body-centered on birds cupped over the deks. Even in a strong north wind this past weekend you still hold pretty much on the bird. Forty yards is my limit for long shots and this gun/choke/sight/shotshell combo just doesn't cause cripples at that distance; one shot one dead bird. I use the same load with #1's on days when the birds come right in to the deks with the same deadly results. By the way, with the Xtrema there is NO felt crack of recoil, just a push!!!!! I never have any soreness in my arthritic shoulders!!!!! At least Italy can get guns and ammo right!!!!!..

North American Black Widow Revolver BWL, 22 LR, 2", Black Rubber Grip, Stainless Finish, 5 Rd, Fixed Sights by Joseph Date Added: Friday 27 January, 2012
10 I purchased the Black Widow in November 2011. I took it to the range to test fire it and found the following. I found it to be quite impressive for such a small weapon. It has plenty of weight and the grip is just fine for me. I test fired it and then compared it to the 38 snub nose I carry. I found it to pull just a little to the left and down slightly. I though it may have been me with a new weapon (and it still may have been), so I pullled out my 38 snub nose to compare. My 38 cal hit the target with center kill shots, while my Black Widow was slightly left, yet still very capable of dropping what you are aiming at. Both guns were used at a distance of approximately 32 feet. My Black Widow is much easier to conceal compared to the snubnose. I use the Hornady mag 45 gr ftx load and it is quite impressive. I carry the Black Widow most of the time and I do not worry about its stopping power. One item I want to mention, after firing, do not expect to quickly reload this weapon. I had to use the cylinder rod to remove some of the spent cartridges from the cylinder. All in all, I would recommend this gun to anyone who wants to carry an easily hidden, quick close up, self defense weapon for use within a 30 feet range...

Stoeger Cougar Double Action Compact Pistol ST31716, 9mm, 13+1 Capacity, Bruniton Black Finish by Dick Date Added: Monday 23 January, 2012
10 I have both the Compact and regular version of this pistol. The only difference is the length of the grip. The Compact is just that, more concealable. Both pistols consistently shoot amazingly well, making me look like a better shot than I am. These are not light guns but fit my hands well and feel secure when shooting. There is less movement for me when shooting because of the weight. The quality is excellent. These guns are just like the Beretta counterpart except for being about half price. First time I took the pistol to the range several folks asked to shoot it and all were amazed at the way it shot and how well they did with it. I know that a couple decided right then to purchase either the Compact or Regular model based on that experience. The compact came with two magazines which is great. The folks at Able Ammo were wonderful to work with for the purchase. They shipped to my local FFL as promised on time and with no hassle at all...

The gunsmith called me the next day and we dicussed my issues and I found that what was happening was completly my fault. After decades of owning firearms I took things for granted and didn't READ THE MANUAL. The gun works great. I couldn't be happier with it. I wanted to man up to my mistake and make things right. 10 This is a real sweet piece of work. I have a Simmons Whitetail scope on top, and at 100 yards it groups as tight as my Ruger 223 match rifle, or very close. It's partial to Winchester 40 gr. JHP which shoot the best for me, and I have tried many other brands. The accuracy and extra impact over a 22 LR will let you take down that slightly larger game from a greater distance with a clean kill. It's a nice, reliable gun to shoot, a major step up from the 22 LR...

10 I'm a 64 yr old Vet who has shot guns all my life...I picked up this pistol at a local gun show...I know it doesn't look quite as smart as the SD or M&P Series of pistols, but looks can be deceiving as to performance. I have read numerous reviews about how horrendous the trigger is on this model. Yes, the trigger is longer and not as smooth as the more expensive models, but for CCW, I personally do not want a short, light pull...There are plenty of fixes on YouTube that make the trigger more tolerable or SW will do it for you if one requires it...Under rapid fire, I don't notice the trigger at all, and the gun is deadly accurate at point of aim to 20 yards and eats Hornady 165 grain Critical Defense loads flawlessly. I know this gun was one of SW answers to the Glock 23...Yes, its a bit heavier since the Mags are metal versus plastic in the Glock. But for all useful purposes in my opinion, this pistol can hold its own at a much cheaper price. I carry this piece everywhere in a Cross Breed holster and you don't notice the weight at all...Makes for a great concealed carry combo. I recommend both the pistol and the holster!..

Remington Buckhammer SP20LSS, 20 Gauge, 2-3/4", 1 oz, 1500 fps, Lead Slug, 5 Rd/bx by Terry Date Added: Tuesday 06 December, 2011
10 Tired of carrying that 12ga, but don't want to give up the slam factor??? Second season with the BuckHammer's, including some control shooting last summer. All totaled about a dz deer with a dz shots, I have yet to wound or lose one. This week I opened the season and Hammerized a nice doe at 35yds, down and dead in three hops, and a nice 8pt buck at 78 Nikon yds. He was spooked and running, but stopped in a herd of does. As soon as he was clear, I double lunged him with my 870 Synthetic and open sights. He was down and dead after 35-40yd run. I also nailed a nice red fox at 35-40yds, right where I was holding. Accuracy from the fully rifled barrel from a rest is in the 1"-1.5"/5 shots every time I check the sights. The price is going up :-(, but you don't need more than a box to fill a freezer...

10 my wife bought this from able ammo. i had been wanting one for a long time. she got it for my birthday. i put 500 rounds through it without a hickup. no failure to fires, or failure to ejects. felt great and was very accurate. i had 2 small issues. first one was, one of the magazines is loose in the grip and won't hold the slide open when empty. it's a problem with the clip, not the gun. i also had a slight problem field stripping it. when i tried to take the camlock off of the front, it was hard to work out and i wound up letting the spring pop out and it flew across the room. after i shot it and went to strip it again it seemed a bit easier. the problem did not affect performance. i have shot many different brands from high end to bottom feeders. this one runs with guns costing 2-3 times as much. i highly recommend it. great gun at any price...

10 Hmmm...not really as nice as could be. I was hoping to be able to use them with my AR-15, but they prevent a good cheekweld. To be expected I suppose with an AR, but pass on these if that's your intent, they get in the way and are annoying. For pistol use they work ok...but they really don't allow enough clearance while wearing a baseball style cap. I was hoping that they would work well with a ballcap, but the behind-the-head wire still interferes with the caps adjusting band. I havn't used them with a traditional woodstock rifle/shotgun, and they probably would not interefere with the cheekweld, but that interfereing behind the head wire would still be annoying. Biggest complaint is when adjusting the earpeice's, if you're not real careful it's easy to pull the earpeice off of the wire frame. They just come right off, and you fudge with them putting them back on. If you don't wear a ballcap, and don't ever readjust the earpeice's, you could probably deal with them. But that kind of deafeats what the design is for. Overall, they just require too much fiddling around with to make them work decently, so I'm afraid I cannot recommend them...

CCI AR Tactical Rimfire Ammunition 953, 22 Long Rifle, Copper Plated Round Nose (RN), 40 GR, 1200 fps, 375 Rd/bx by Edwin Date Added: Tuesday 22 November, 2011
10 I recently bought one box of these and two boxes of 7.62 x 39. This was bought for a well-used Ruger 10/22 that was having FTF & FTE issues with Peters ammo. I was able to sight in and shoot about 150 rounds. I had absolutely no issues. This will probably be the main ammo for this rifle as it was also accurate...

Sig P226 X-5 Pistol 226X59L1, 9mm, 5 in, Wood Grip, Stainless Finish, Adj Sights, 19 Rd by Craig Date Added: Friday 18 November, 2011
10 I have well over 50 pistols and this is probably the best 9mm semi auto pistol money can buy. It will shoot 1/2 inch or less, groups at 25 yds all day long. Nearly perfect functioning. My only complaint is that mine has an oversized magazine eject button that is easy to accidently activate when shooting with a two handed grip. the 19 round mags are great but very expensive to add to your collection...

Federal Premium Power Shok Rifle Ammunition 223L, 223 Remington, Jacketed Soft Point (SP), 64 GR, 3090 fps, 20 Rd/bx by Brian Date Added: Friday 18 November, 2011
10 I purchased 2 boxes of this ammunition for my AR-15 to use while deer hunting, after zeroing my scope, I went to the East Texas woods during opening weekend of general season, my 2nd morning out, I spotted a spike buck and dropped him with one round thru his heart at about 30 yds, this bullet performed wonderfully, completely severed the heart with a thru and thru shot, the buck dropped in his tracks, the next morning out, I spotted a wild hog from my treestand and at about 50 yds away, i took one shot while the hog was quartering away from me, again, this bullet performed the duties of a buzz saw and smashed thru 6 ribs and completely destroyed just about every internal organ there was, however no exit wound, the hog ran about 20 yds and dropped in its tracks, the bullet performed magnificently for a small caliber used on a decent sized hog and considering the angle of the shot, i was very impressed with the performance of the round, my third and final morning on the stand, a huge 11 point buck came down the trail, and at about 40 yards, a single shot went through both lungs of the deer, the deer traveled approximately 20 yds. and fell completely dead, the bullet entered high on the lungs and there were 3 separate exit wounds, again, i was very impressed with the performance of these .223 rounds and would recommend them for anyone hunting medium to large game with a .223...

10 Exellent load for deer. My latest was a nice 2-3 yr old 5x5 at 70 yds from my ar-15 with 16 in barrel at 1 to 9 twist with a neck shot that dropped it instantly and humanely. I have shot big game in the heart and lugs and they usually run a ways even with my 7mm mag. No complaints with the 62 grain fusion...

10 Fresh out of the box I had cycling issues and a failure to fire on about ever third round with both CCI mini mags and Remington 525's. After about 50 rounds this way I tore the gun down, cleaned it thoroughly, and greased the slide. Since then I have cycled close to 500 rounds of many various manufacturers flawlessly. I would give this gun a perfect review, but take down is a bit of a pain. Unlike your typical 1911 there are 2 pins instead of just one, and a screw that have to be removed. Making take down impossible without the supplied tools or at least a small allen wrench. It doesn't state it in the description, but gun is actually manufactured by GSG (German Sport Guns) and imported by ATI. This gun is if very high quality for a .22 in the 1911 format. One of the big sellers for me was it had the beaver tail safety and steel magazine. It does only come with one magazine though, and extras are kind of salty ($25 - $30). All in all I would highly recommend this gun to anyone looking at getting a 1911-22, a full sized .22 pistol, or a conversion kit for their current 1911. Accuracy is superb, the rear sight is adjustable for windage, and the front blade can be changed out to any of three blades that come with the gun. Has 3 dot white sights, which are pretty easy and quick to pick up, unless there is a bright light directly on your target. Slide lock safety is ambidextrous, however the open slide lock is not, I believe the mag release can be switched to south paw as well. It is my understanding that most standard 1911 add ons can be used on this gun as well, grips, hammers, triggers, etc. I give this gun a 9 out of 10, loss of 1 only because of the take down issue, and I believe this is an excellent purchase for the price. Sorry the review is so lengthy, but I wanted to make sure I covered everything and I hope this helps you make a decision if you are currently debating this purchase...

Sierra BlitzKing Spitzer 22 Caliber 55 Grain 100/Box (1455), Not Loaded by Jon Date Added: Monday 14 November, 2011
10 I highly recommend this bullet. It works absolutely perfect in my Weatherby in a 22-250. In a three shot group, they're all touching at 100 yards. I have shot other bullets of the same weight but none have given me the accuracy and performance this round does. There is no running off with this round either, I would guess this is due to the ballistic tip. It's quite devastating. Even on a shot placed in the ear of hogs, they don't run off...

Allen 108020 19x14x8 All Weather Black Gun Case by Bret Date Added: Saturday 12 November, 2011
10 I have always been a fan of heavy built aluminum or metal gun cases for travel. This is my first plastic case and I got it to house my HK and Freedom Arms pistols for air travel. I would not scrimp on a case for these guns. This case is well built. The foam is scored so it can be pulled apart so that a gun can be fitted into a pocket for greater protection. There are two latches on the front (opposite the hinge) and a latch on each side. It seals up nice. If you don't plan to create a pocket for your guns, you will want to put some extra foam around the firearm so it doesn't slide down with the throwing around it will get in baggage, but that's any case. This is a very nice case for the money. As good or better than the other brands of heavy duty plastic cases available...

Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics Pistol Ammunition 32AP, 7.65 Browning (32 ACP), Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), 73 GR, 1000 fps, 50 Rd/bx by DAVID Date Added: Sunday 06 November, 2011
10 This ammo works extremely well in my Bersa T32DT 32 acp. No misfires or hangups so far after 250 rounds. Very clean buring and easy to clean after a day at the range. Pretty hot and does hit harder than most American rounds I have fired. The Bersa seems to like this round much better than Federal or Remington. Would recommend this round. Beretta Tomcat 32 is not made to handle this round as too much velocity and may crack frame with extended usage so would only fire this out of other newer frames. (This info taken from various Gun sites and Beretta site.) Will buy more...

Bersa Thunder 32 Pistol T32DT, 32 ACP, 3.5 in, Polymer Grip, Dual-Tone Finish, 7 Rd by DAVID Date Added: Sunday 06 November, 2011
10 Bought this a few weeks ago for my wife as she is very sensitive to recoil. Best surprise was to find that while shown as having a 7 round magazine, it comes with a 10 round one. Ordered a second magazine from the distributor and again another 10 round came. The recoil on this handgun is about the same as my 22 mag revolver. The weight is very well balanced. It seems not to like Federal ammo but loves Fiocchi 73 gr FMJ. Have shot over 250 rounds so far with no jams. Called Bersa USA and they recommend hotter rounds. Very accurate. Much better than 22lr or 25acp for anyone who can't handle due to arthritis or whatever, the recoil. Bersa breaks down very simply and a breeze to clean and reassemble. Well pleased and may get a second one...
