I purchased one of these guns for my 9 yr old son. This gun is a lot of fun to shoot and I also got a 20 gauge shotgun barrel with the gun. I put a 3x9 scope on it. It is very impressive. It is short and light and a kid can handle it very well and it has very little recoil. The only thing is until they get used to the loudness of it because it is pretty loud due to the short barrel you probably will want them to wear some ear protection because it made my son flinch the first few times he shot...
