Very rugged .22LR. The stock has beauty, and elegance, but with a touch of outdoorsy charm. I mounted a Nikon Pro Staff 3x9 Scope on to with the provided Ruger Rings. Once I sited-In the rifle, it is a tack driver at 50yrds, and at 100yrds I can shoot keyholes all day long with Federal 40gr. ammo. I added a sling for field use. I have bagged lot's of small game with this rifle. The only thing I didn't like about it was the trigger pull was a little stiff...
