RUGER & COMPANY INC Redhawk Double Action Revolvers 44 Remington Magnum, 4" Barrel, 6 Round, Black Hogue Monogrip Grips, Stainless Steel Finish The Ruger Redhawk revolver was Ruger's first double-action revolver specifically designed for the powerful .44 Magnum cartridge. It embodies many advanced features such as a "triple-locking" cylinder, a unique "single spring" mechanism for relatively lighter trigger pull, replaceable front sights and adjustable rear sights, with an all-stainless steel construction. The Redhawk features a triple-locking cylinder, single spring mechanism for easy sighting. The Redhawk comes in a stainless steel construction, dual chambering and a transfer bar. This is a very durable, stoutly manufactured revolver. Any one feature difference would not make a big deal, but taken together, the Ruger is a superior revolver. It is what i carry in the woods when i am there to be handgun hunting, but may not be alone. WE in California have boat loads of Mountain Lions, Black Bears, and rattlesnakes. You may never see any of the animals listed, but the way the populations are expanding, you might. A gun in your safe will do you no good if you are being stalked by a hunger lion. And, there are .44 snake loads. I know guys fish in Alaska and carry 2 1/2 inch revolvers, but the 4 inch barrel length will give you a better balanced and longer sight plane and is faster on the second shot. Just my 2 cent worth. Been a shooter for 47 years of all species of guns... |
