Scherer magazines lack the polish of glock factory mags. I would not assume it is going to work immediately without some fine tuning. In my experience with the 9mm and 40 cal version, there are two key differences. First and formost, the liner is carbon steel vs stainless steel. The Scherer carbon steel lacks polish. This typically results in the follower dragging during operation. The second problem I've noted is the spring. The quality of the spring is questionable at best, and typically doesn't hold it's strength over the long term. However; What Scherer lacks in polish, can be handled after the fact. A simple polishing of the internal surfaces via a flex dremel eliminates the rough surface problem. The problem with the springs can be handled via a phone call to brownells for some spring stock. The end result works flawlessly. The key element here is the polymer mag body. It doesn't tear your mag catch up, and does have the proper amount of swell without fracture when loaded to capacity. For the price, it worth the extra work and money to have them. Especially when you own a mech techs carbine conversion for the G21, or your just simply lazy and want to drop a pile of lead down range. My opinion for what it's worth, Regards, Gerald..
