Bought one of these in May 2007 and it is the best 1911 I have ever shot to include Kimber, Les Baer, and Wilsons. Extremely accurate and 3.2 lb trigger.
Wife wanted one so she could start shooting IPSC with me and ordered her one in Oct. 2008. Came with a 9lb. trigger and Creep- Nasty. Would not take it.
Ordered her a Doug Koenig .38 Super 1911 Performance Center thinking they would not mess up again. This one had a 7 lb. trigger. It is advertised at 3.5-4 lbs. Would not take it either. Contacted the Smith Rep and they said they would send either one back and get the trigger down to 3.5 lbs. Refused- if they cannot get a trigger right, what else are they cutting corners on!!
Ordered a Kimber Super Match II. They got it right the first time...
