I just purchased a SD9VE from a pawn/ gun shop in my town. Mine came with two 16 rd mags and I also bought a leather holster. It is of course heavier and bigger than my Bersa Thunder .380 and harder to conceal, but with winter coming on I can conceal it under my jacket or sweatshirt with little problem. Went to the range a day after I got it and went thru 150 rds without a problem using Independence ammo. I have large hands and this gun fits my hand very well and the trigger pull was not objectionable. I am sure after another trip to the range, things will get even better. This is a definite keeper to my slowly growing inventory of firearms... |

I have just fired 50 rds from this pistol so it may be tight from the box. The Gun is accurate enough at 25 yds., but the trigger pull was so difficult and deceptive that I couldn\'t get any decent group. I haven\'t shot since my Vietnam Service but that was with a 1911 .45, with which I qualified as Sharpshooter, missing Expert by one shot. WE have to shoot slow at the public range, so I pulled and pulled the trigger, unsure if the shot would ever break. Obviously, during that time, the gun wobbled. I did manage to get all six rds. in the chest so an assailant would have been hurt if not killed. The overtight trigger does not allow for good control, and our Range only lets you shoot six rds. slowfire. I do think faster fire, despite the inevitable jerking, would allow one to be a bit more accurate... |

Trigger pull on the Sigma is 10 pounds out of the box - a bit heavy, but not difficult to get used to. I have large hands, so my experience may not be typical, but after 50 rounds I was firing tight patterns right where I wanted them. After 150 rounds I found my new Sigma to be well balanced, simple to sight, smooth to operate, accurate, and reliable. It's definitely a keeper... |
