TAURUS INTERNATIONAL Model PT-92 Large Frame Pistols Taurus 17 + 1 Round 9MM w/Fixed Sights/5" Barrel/Blue Finish The fixed sight PT92 9mm pistol is based on the most extensively tested, duty proven, and widely used double action autoloading design in history. It has been refined and enhanced by Taurus to surpass the original. Most notable on the Taurus PT92 is the innovation of a three position frame mounted ambidextrous safety which allows this gun to be carried in classic double action(cocked and locked) mode, as well as functioning as a double action decocking lever. This was the first Taurus I bought. I have shot hundreds of rounds through, and never had any problems. Only complaint is accuracy. Shooting from a pistol rest, I have been unable to maintain tight groups. Makes a good self defense weapon, but wouldn't use it for competitive shooting. i have found the personal defense ammo to be more accurate than the target rounds, but still only better at 25 yards or less... |

This was the first Taurus pistol I bought, and it still remains to be my favorite several years later. I have shot over 1000 rounds through this pistol, and haver never had a jam or mis-feed. Would recommend adjustable sights over fixed sights, but pistol is still shoots consistent groups at 15 and 25 yards. Would definitely recommend this pistol to anyone. Very easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble... |
