The PPK-S, with a longer frame for one additional cartridge, and the PPK are now both produced in the USA. Take it from someone who know guns. The PPK-S Is a Very Dependable hand gun and is good for concealed with its small size and 8 round capacity paired with Hornady 90Gr. JHP/XTP. It will get the job done. In the case of saying its too small that a 40 or .45 is better, well to take that route Id rather have a .357 MAGNUM or .44 MAGNUM. But your not Hunting, its for self defence.Great gun I have had mine for about 3 years and have fun over 5,000 rounds threw it with no repairs and no complete teardown. Just remove the slide, grips and spray with cleaner, blow it out with air and spray WD-40 into it... |

These comments obviously relate to newer Walther's plus no 380 ACP will hit with the momentum of a 45 cal. I gurantee you - you do not want to get hit with two-three gold dot's from a decent 380. Many an LEO has used an older German Walther as a backup as well as a Ruger revolver. I have had no problems with two older 1970-early 80's German made Walther's... |

Who ever buys a .380 for self defense and a PPK at that is trying to emulate James Bond. You will be killed in a lethal engagement God forbid! Get a GLOCK and get it in at least a .40cal or even better a .45cal! If your life or your families life depends on it, wouldn't you want max firepower and concealability?! GLOCKS RULE!!!.. |
