The Taurus PT22 Poly is a good little gun, it is small and compact but has enough grip to hold on to. The double action only trigger pull takes getting use to but it is easier to shoot fast than you might think. I would suggest that you take down the gun and replace all of the factory oil with quality rem oil before taking it to the range as the factory oil is mostly for corrosion protection. I like the fact that the mag has an external follower peg that allows for easy reloading. The pop up barrel is a nice feature to have as the slide springs are extremely strong so racking the slide is not going to happen. It has the easiest take down of any semi-auto pistol I have ever owned and the barrel is so short that you can clean it out with just a wire brush. - EVAN
Just bought today, first i shot CCI Stinger ammo, very hot. However wanted to see how quiet I could get it, and suprisingly cycled the winchester Super X LR subsonic. Very accurate at close range. Shot and hit a 1 quart oil bottle 10 for 10 at 30 yds. and was accurate (within 3 inches) for all shots. So far very impressed with gun, no jamming, smooth operation, accurate, and very fun and inexpensive to shoot. - Z. B.
Well I\'ve been waiting since June 2010 for it to arrive, finally got it first week of Feb 2011. It is light and fun to shoot. I have been storing 22 mag ammo since last summer and it will not take me long to shoot it all. The two 30 round clips did not last long enough so I ordered 2 more from Kel-Tec they arrived within 7 days. So far no problems or stove pipe. I hope others will get their PMR soon. Kel-Tec guns are just fun I own several and they are all great. - D. P.
I bought this gun in 2000. I was looking for an inexpensive home defense and target gun and this one just looked cool with its short barrel and mother-of-pearl grips. I\'ve shot 3-4000 rounds of 22LR through this, including 100 rounds a month for the last two years. Also shot around 200 rounds of 22 Mag. Gun is still tight, easy to shoot and accurate. I carried it in my car for about five years before moving up to a larger gun. I\'ve got a 44 Bulldog and a Glock 19 and this is still the gun I keep loaded under the bed. So cheap, fun to shoot and reliable that I\'m buying another - 6.5 inch, satin with black mother-of-pearl - for better target shooting. - J. K.
