Marlin Rifles was able to attract developed breakthrough and enduring models, such as Models 1891 and 1893. Today known as Models 39 and 336 respectively, they are the oldest shoulder arm designs in the world still being produced. The lever action 22 repeater (now Model 39) even became the favorite of many exhibition shooters, including the great Annie Oakley.
This is the rifle to purchase if you want a 30-30WCF for a hunting rifle. It shoots dead on at a 100 yards. This is my first lever action and Marlin has the best. I have already order a 1894H 357mag rifle with Able Ammo as my next lever action rifle. - R. K.
I purchased the 336W 30-30WCF and it shoots dead on 1/4 from center right. I have shot 106 rounds since last week at the rifle range at a 100 yards.
It is ready for deer season in September. This is my first
30-30 lever action rifle for hunting. Marlin Arms builds a better lever action than Winchester. - R. K.
Bought this so my daughter and girlfriend could shoot instead of being beat up by my 30-06.They really feel in love with this rifle.I put a Bushnell scope on it for them and I"ll be darn this rifle is very accurate. They where hitting targets at 70Yrds the size of a quarter. The only problem is that the scope kept coming lose but I solved that problem. Now I know why Marlin is one of the great American rifles. And now I plan on getting a Marlin bolt action 22Mag rifle now for further distance. They have really sold me a good rifle. - W. I own this rifle with the 24 in barrel and it is a sweetheart of a rifle! I have put a couple of hundred rounds through this rifle and not one problem. My load consists of a 370gr hard cast Lbt dual crimp gas check bullet behind 20.3grs.of ww-296 with a cci-350 primer in new winchester brass. It shoots 2 inch groups at 100yrds.The ballard cut rifling helps quite a bit also.I plan on using this rifle for deer in the big conifer swamps of michigan,s upper pennisula were I live.I shoot this rifle more than all my others and I would recommend it to anyone.5 stars from me and keep up the good work marlin. - G.
