Excellent gun for the money. I've taken mine out several times already and it seems to shoot some tight groups. The Bushnell scope isn't half bad (considering it comes with the gun), and comes accompanied with in-use scope covers.

The only disappointment I have is that the 150 gr. 270 cartridge has quite a bit of kick considering how small the caliber is. I thought maybe the gun itself had some issues, but after reading about recoil velocity on www.chuckhawks.com, I found out that the 270 Winchester caliber has as much recoil energy as a 308 Winchester. So, I switched to Remington's reduced recoil 113 gr. ammo and still managed to take deer down almost instantaneously, only with half the recoil.

Overall, it's an excellent choice for beginners or for people who just don't believe a person should have to spend tons of money to get a decent hunting rifle.
