It\'s a close range survival gun! That\'s what H&R markets it to be, and that\'s what it is. It\'s great out to 25-30 yards...maybe a little more with practice. It\'s light, it\'s compact, it\'s rugged, in nickel it is corrosion resistant, and it is easy to take small game with. It serves it\'s purpose extremely well. If you want a rifle that you can hit at longer range with...H&R has those too...

First off let me say that I have owned one of these guns for over 3 years. Me and my sons have the most fun with this gun than any other I own. It is not meant for precision shooting but none the less, I have seen my father shoot a 1" x 1" square post with this gun at 50yds several times with 45 LC. With only the bead for a sight it takes a little skill to aim and hit something. This is a high quality gun just like all of H&H products...

I own one of these guns. I would advise against purchasing this model. I see no valid purpose for owning one. The gun is inaccurate; at best. The gun is a little pricey to shoot bird shot out of. I scoped it; at the suggestion of my local gun shop. What a waste of money. I purchased this as a brush gun; however do not believe I would count on it. I will remove the scope and let the kids squirrell hunt with it. Hopefully it is functional in that arena...
