Taurus pistols have had a long and distinguished history. The well known and popular Taurus 92 is modeled after the same sidearm issued to our armed forces, but with improvements to enhance reliability, durability and accuracy. Taurus is also innovating in polymer-frame handgun design with the Millennium Pro series of pistols which feature a manual safety and the unique Taurus Security System. Taurus also produces a full line of small frame pistols for maximum concealability and maximum reliability.
Taurus Revolvers have been widely recognized as the best in the industry for more than seven decades. In that time, Taurus has pioneered the art of the wheelgun with features like the yoke detent, full length ejector rod and the Taurus Security System and with guns like the famous Taurus Raging Bull series of hunting handguns. As the century turned, Taurus took revolvers to a new level with the introduction of Taurus Total Titanium. These lightweight, full-power handguns remain as the best that can be gotten.
This may be the best buy in a "carry" gun. This is not a cheap gun. It is a great gun, sold at a cheap price. I have decades and decades of experience with handguns and this may be the best new gun buy of my life. I own one, my wife owns one, her son and grandson owns one, I have friends who own them. Buy it, you won't regret it. -
Just thought I'd update. Had the Millennium G2 9mm for over a year now and not one complaint. Had it at the range yesterday and it was flawless with both HP's and FMJ's. Never one hiccup out of this gun in about 1000 rounds now. Also, I love the extremely small reset on the trigger, it's amazing. I find many Taurus pistols are like this. 12+1 capacity is fantastic. I'd take this over the M&P Shield any day of the week, and I have shot the Shield, too small a grip on it and too low capacity. Not to mention the price difference. - MIKE
Bought this in Nov 2013 and it's been a FANTASTIC gun! Never any failure of any kind with HP's or FMJ's of any brand. At least 600 rounds through it now. I carry this with confidence. 12+1 capacity won me over to buy this over the M&P Shield. I did like the feel of the grip better as well. Not to mention this G2 was $299 and the Shield (at the time) was $429. I want one now in 40S&W with the stainless slide. - MIKE
Just bought one of these last week, so far okay. Easy to take down for cleaning, but tricky to get back together. The pin is very tight to put back in and the slide release is very sensitive. Also the slide and barrel alignment is fussy and tricky. Maybe this will improve with practice and wear in. No issues at the range so far with .380 FMJ 95 gr ball ammo. Since ammo is rare, waiting for more to come in from backorder to get a couple hundred rounds through. Trigger pull is around 4.5 pounds, long, but silky smooth and easy to keep on target. Fairly accurate for such a small pistol. So light, I don't even know I am carrying it. Perfect for back up in ankle or IWB holster. Comes with two 6 round mags and Nerd belt holster that looks like for a calculator or blackberry belt holster. Magnetic flap opens easily and holes in bottom allow for finger entry to push it up into play. Not as accessible as a IWB holster though.
I'll try to remember to give a follow up report after I get more rare .380 ammo and put a few more rounds through her. Nice piece for the money and easy, light and smooth to pocket carry too.
Also own a Bersa .380, this one is smaller, lighter and smoother and shoots almost as good. - S. B.
Nice gun.I did have to send mine back to the factory because the cartridge pin broke. I still have a hard time closing the cylinder, which can be annoying.I do like the way the gun shoots. Nice trigger and very little re-coil.Overall,a great weapon. - D. D.
