Description

The Mark V Carbon Compact is a lightweight carbon barrel rifle built with a shorter length of pull for smaller statured shooters. It features the lighter 6-Lug Standard Action and is chambered in some of the most popular recoil friendly cartridges in the industry. The Monte Carlo inspired stock design helps manage recoil by directing force away from the shooter’s face, keeping them aligned and on target. The BSF carbon barrel delivers unmatched accuracy and comes with Weatherby’s Accubrake DST™ (Directional Self-Timing Brake).

Designed with a shorter length of pull

The Carbon Compact was designed for shooters who prefer a shorter length of pull (13″ vs our standard 13.625″), offering a natural and confident shoulder mount. The modified Monte Carlo stock is engineered to direct recoil away from the shooter’s face, providing a better shooting experience and reduced felt recoil. Each stock is hand-painted in Sheridan, Wyoming, and the receiver and metalwork feature a Cerakote finish that delivers durable protection in demanding conditions.

The deep spiral fluted bolt reduces weight and decreases bearing surface area, resulting in a smooth and consistent bolt cycle. The 54-degree bolt lift supports fast cycling and maintains generous scope clearance.

The Carbon Compact is equipped with shorter BSF barrels, and the threaded muzzle comes with an Accubrake DST. (⅝-24)

Each rifle features an adjustable TriggerTech trigger that allows shooters to fine-tune pull weight.

 

TENSIONED BARREL

After BSF turns down a 416R stainless steel match barrel they sleeve it with carbon fiber and load it under tension. Because it’s under tension, as the barrel heats up it keeps the rifling straighter, resulting in a stiffer, more rigid barrel. Most competitors use a wrapping method that has been proven to trap heat and cause delamination.

 

COOLER BARREL - CONSISTENT GROUPS

With BSF’s proprietary method, 95% of the carbon fiber does not touch the contoured barrel, creating air gaps and allowing air to foil around the steel and cool the barrel faster. The high quality carbon fiber is designed to move at the same expansion rate as the 416R stainless steel resulting in a vibration dampening effect. What does that mean? It means the carbon fiber absorbs the shock and vibration allowing more consistent groups.
