I finally got out and fired my new Px4 yesterday using Independence 165 and 180 grain bullets. It was a perfect fit for me, I am 6'2, have big hands and I love that it comes with the different adjustable hand grips and brushes for cleaning.
I found it easy to fire and take apart for cleaning and then reassemble. The safety measurements on this gun is a key factor to why I bought it, and although I would agree with the other review that the slide is a little harder then the Berretta 9mm I was also firing yesterday; I like this as is as I do not want any children being able to use this gun (although always locked in a 3" steel 400 lbs safe).
Bringing back the hammer on my Px4 was much easier then the 9mm Berretta my buddy brought to the range yesterday and as soon as I found my line of sight for this Px4, it was a pistol lovers dream to shoot! The night sights add-on make it look wicked as well..... |

Simply awesome! I just purchased my px4 Storm 40. cal and I am totally in love with it. It feels great in the hand and the recoil is much milder than expected. This gun feels like it was almost made for me with one minor exception. The slide safety is a little high and tight for me but with a little practice I can adjust. This is a minor flaw and may be a product of me more than the gun. I think with a little practice it will become irrelavent. I may try the smaller grip but I think it is just a matter of getting the feel of a new gun. (would have given a rating of 5 if this were a perfect fit) Otherwise, I love the look, feel and comfortable fit this gun has. I have fired 9mm's that actually have more recoil due to the weight/design as well as the rotating barrel. My girlfriend who is new to the handgun world actualy felt more comfortable with this gun on her first day at the range than a Smith and Wesson, Sig and Kahr 9mm. I have only fired about 300 rounds so far but no problems or complaints yet. I cant wait to fire the CX4 and the rest of the handgun line-up. Kudos Berretta!!.. |
