Ruger M77 Mark II Target rifles are time tested, bolt action, special application rifles at a great value. These rifles feature a matte stainless

steel finish that resists corrosion. The heavy contour, hammer forged barrel with target crown provides long range accuracy shot after shot. The wide, target forend gives stability on sandbags or other support surfaces.

I have owned this rifle since about 2001, and I must say I love it. I would consider myself a mid level shooter, and even with crap ammo I can regularly achieve sub MOA accuracy. With excellent ammo, out to about 200 yards, I have been able to achieve roughly .5 MOA. Out past that the groups open up, but that\'s the fault of the cartridge and not the rifle. 223 loses energy very quickly, and becomes highly subject to wind, and bullet drop past about 300 yards. I made some modifications to the stock to convert it into a pistol grip which really makes it a comfortable shooter. The stock, although not super attractive, to me has been almost as stable as a synthetic. I much prefer the feel of wood stocks, so the laminated one was a great trade off. I have it fitted with a Harris bipod, and a reasonably low end optic (considering it\'s 223, and I don\'t even push it as far as it\'s capable). The heavy barrel in my opinion is a must. It really increases the accuracy, and more importantly the consistency of the rifle. All in all, I would highly recommend this rifle. It\'s one I will hand down to my kids...
