The receiver, barrel and all major metal parts are machined from stainless steel, and most other metal parts are nickel-plated. I am a Viet Nam Vet, Marine and am no stranger to firearms. It took me 41 years to purchase a firearm, since Nam. I live in the country with my wife, so for home protection I have a 12 gauge pistol grip shot gun.
I also wanted an all around rifle. I must tell you that you can have all the assaults rifles you want. From the 556 762 and so on.
Give me the 45 70 anyday .... It, in my opinion is the only gun a man needs aside from fighting a war. This rifle is awsome. User friendly, well built, rugged, accurate and most of all,,,,,, "Powerful" enough to stop anything.
Get one and hold onto it. I will pass my on to my sons who are presently in the Army. God bless America... |
