NORTH AMERICAN ARMS Ranger Break-Top 22 Magnum, 1 5/8 in Barrel, Wood Grip, Stainless Finish, 5 Rd The Ranger is a limited production .22 Magnum caliber single-action mini-revolver. Inspired by the Schofield-modified S&W top-break design of the 1870's which was used by the U.S.Cavalry as well as the 19th century fighting forces around the world, the Ranger is a classic design reinterpreted by the craftsmen at North American Arms. Only a simple nudge from the thumb caused the barrel and cylinder assembly to pivot forward, with a cam-activated star presenting the spent cartridge cases for easy removal and reloading while the cylinder remains attached to the frame.While still a very concealable and effective personal protection weapon which is designed to be shot-a lot- the Ranger sets a standard in the watch-like feel, fit and finish for which NAA handguns have become so highly regarded.
