Testimonials from our Customers
Taurus 44 Tracker Revolver 2440049TKR, 44 Remington Mag, 4" Ported, Ribber Grip Overlay Grip, Stainless Finish, 5 Rd, Adj Sights
Lost this gun in May this year as snow was nearly gone in Northern Wisconsin while putting out trail cameras in an area of big hills and bluffs. It came out of the cheap holster on my backpack . I searched for two afternoons and never found the gun. I looked down this week while checking trail cameras and saw the gun. A little rust on the end of the barrel. Used a fine steel wool and lots of oil. Rust mainly gone. Fired gun after cleanup from twenty yards off- hand and hit four inch bull four out of five shots. I am not all that good with a pistol. Great gun!! -

Smith & Wesson 629 Classic Revolver 163636, 44 Remington Mag, 5", Rubber Grip, Satin Stainless Finish, 6 Rd
The straight skinny. The 5" barrel 629 with full barrel lug is the best balanced, best pointing, best shooting handgun I own, and I own MANY. The trigger, right out of the box, breaks in single-action at less than 3 pounds. The double-action is a VERY smooth 6 pounds. Accuracy with both 44 special and 44 magnum is outstanding. If you have ever shot a Ruger Superblackhawk 44 magnum, even with a 7 1/2" barrel, you will experience quite a jolt into your hand from the recoil. This Smith has 70% of the Ruger recoil. It is not punishing at all, even with Buffalo Bore hot 270 grain plus P ammo. The full-sized 44 magnum reduced power loads are the way to go. This may be the best 44 that Smith ever produced (I know I'll get a lot of arguments on this one, but this is one man's opinion). As for accuracy, from a rest I shot one-inch groups at 25 yards, using three different types of ammo. PMC 240 grain, Federal 240 grain, and the hot Buffalo bore 270 grain. The Smith 5" 629 can be used for home defense, woods carry for protection from ANYTHING, target shooting, with shot shells it can even take small game, and excells at plinking with reduced-power loads. This gun is a keeper. - JOE

Taurus 44 Raging Bull Large Frame Revolver 2444089, 44 Remington Mag, 8 3/8", Soft Rubber Grip, Stainless Finish, 6 Rd
Pleasant to shoot for a magnum caliber. Very accurate. I have hunted deer for over 10 years with this revolver with a red dot site and keep going back to it! - J. D.

Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan Revolver 5303, 44 Remington Mag, 2 1/2 in, Hogue Tamer Monogrip, Satin Stainless Finish, 6Rd
Love it! Love it! Shoots great, carry while campping, hiking, fising. Just a fun gun to shoot! - B. C.

Ruger Redhawk Double-Action Revolver 5026, 44 Remington Mag, 4in, Black Hogue Monogrip Grip, Stainless Steel Finish, 6Rd
This is a very durable, stoutly manufactured revolver. Any one feature difference would not make a big deal, but taken together, the Ruger is a superior revolver. It is what i carry in the woods when i am there to be handgun hunting, but may not be alone. WE in California have boat loads of Mountain Lions, Black Bears, and rattlesnakes. You may never see any of the animals listed, but the way the populations are expanding, you might. A gun in your safe will do you no good if you are being stalked by a hunger lion. And, there are .44 snake loads. I know guys fish in Alaska and carry 2 1/2 inch revolvers, but the 4 inch barrel length will give you a better balanced and longer sight plane and is faster on the second shot. Just my 2 cent worth. Been a shooter for 47 years of all species of guns. - R. D.
